Bug Fixes
- The create conversation API now honors external_user_id for existing contacts instead of ignoring it, resolving the conversation to the matched contact.
- Unknown external IDs now fall back to email lookup rather than failing to match.
- Attachment filenames retain unicode characters and MIME headers are properly escaped.
- The AI generate reply button is hidden on the create conversation form.
Upgrade Notes
This is a drop-in patch upgrade from v2.7.0 with no schema or config changes called out; take a database backup and follow the standard upgrade procedure. Behavior changes subtly for API clients relying on external_user_id: conversations now bind to the matched contact, so verify integrations that previously created unlinked conversations.
