What's New
Complete rewrite of the query engine to Rust while maintaining API compatibility.
Breaking Changes
- Mixed 4.x and 6.0 nodes cannot replicate in the same primary/replica set.
- The `EFFECTS_THRESHOLD` configuration is now ignored as effects are the only replication mechanism.
- Docker tags `latest` now point to the Rust engine, while `latest-alpine` remains on the C engine.
New Features
- Rust-based query engine.
- RediSearch 8.6.1 integration.
- Faster query execution for filters, label checks, and aggregations.
- Lower memory usage on write-heavy workloads.
Improvements
- Replicas now apply effects instead of re-running queries.
- Upgraded to RediSearch 8.6.1 from 2.6.23.
- `GRAPH.BULK` no longer reserves memory based on client declarations.
Upgrade Notes
Do not mix 4.x and 6.0 nodes in the same primary/replica set. The `EFFECTS_THRESHOLD` config is ignored, and `TIMEOUT` is deprecated in favor of `TIMEOUT_DEFAULT` and `TIMEOUT_MAX`. Docker `latest` now points to the Rust engine.
