create-tambo-app-v0.3.5 v0.29.0
BITyia/DroneSplatJun 16, 2026 → Jun 17, 20260 days between releases
What's New
The two releases come from unrelated projects, but the newer v0.29.0 is a major policy-engine overhaul with breaking ACL changes.
Breaking Changes
- Wildcard `*` in ACLs is no longer accepted and must be replaced with `autogroup:danger-all`.
- Policies referencing `funnel`, `ipPool`, or `autogroup:admin`/`owner` as targets are now rejected at load time.
- The server-config `randomizeClientPort` knob is removed in favor of a top-level policy field.
- Minimum supported Tailscale client version is now v1.80.0.
- `headscale nodes register` is deprecated in favor of `headscale auth register`.
New Features
- SSH rules with a `check` action now prompt for OIDC or CLI approval before granting access.
- A new `headscale auth` command group supports approving, rejecting, and registering pending auth requests.
- Policy tests (beta) and SSH policy tests (beta) let you assert reachability across both ACL and grant rules.
- Grants are supported alongside ACLs, including `app`, `via`, and `ip` fields.
- Node attributes (`nodeAttrs`) and Taildrive configuration can now be set via policy.
Improvements
- ACL and packet-filter generation were reworked to match Tailscale SaaS behavior, validated with systematically generated test cases.
- Overall Tailscale ACL compatibility was tightened based on comparison against official clients and SaaS.
Upgrade Notes
Note that the older release (create-tambo-app-v0.3.5) is an unrelated dev-dependency bump, so no meaningful delta exists between the two artifacts. For the v0.29.0 side, rewrite any ACLs using `*`, `funnel`, `ipPool`, or admin/owner targets, move `randomizeClientPort` into policy, and ensure clients are at v1.80.0+ before upgrading. Switch any `headscale nodes register` automation to `headscale auth register`.
