What's New
Added experimental networking modules, UDP support, and WebSocket headers; Node release adds explicit service layer provision instructions.
Breaking Changes
- The `{ position }` option added to `File.read` and `File.readAlloc` in the older release is not present in the newer release notes.
New Features
- Added experimental Host, Dns, and AddressResolver modules
- Added DatagramSocket for UDP support
- Added Dns.nameServerFromInput utility
- WebSocket clients can send handshake headers alongside subprotocols
- Terminal input Esc cancellation is now default
Improvements
- DNS operations accept and normalize domain-name strings
- Endpoint resolution accepts `host:port` strings
- Added `NetAddress.inetAddressFromNativeUnsafe` for runtime-reported addresses
Upgrade Notes
Services for the new networking modules must be provided explicitly; use `NodeAddressResolver.layer.pipe(Layer.provideMerge(NodeDns.layer))` for Node environments. Note that the `{ position }` option for `File.read` and `File.readAlloc` is not available in the Node package.
