## Summary - Reduced Claude Code `UserPromptSubmit` hook latency on Windows and large repositories. - Deferred git-based project detection until after the first-message hook path, avoiding unnecessary `git` calls before the hook returns its ToolSearch instruction. - Increased the Claude Code `UserPromptSubmit` hook timeout from 2 seconds to 5 seconds as a safety margin. ## Validation - `bash -n plugin/claude-code/scripts/user-prompt-submit.sh` - `go test ./internal/setup -run ClaudeCodeUserPrompt` - Main CI passed. - Release workflow passed. ## Upgrade guidance After upgrading, run `engram setup claude-code` and restart Claude Code so the plugin hook cache and MCP process reload the new scripts.
