## Summary - Fixed `mem_session_start` so MCP sessions created without an explicit `directory` infer the detected project path automatically. - Prevents new session upsert mutations from being created with an empty `directory`, which could block cloud sync with `session payload directory is required`. - Preserves explicit `directory` values when agents provide them. ## Validation - `go test ./...` - Main CI passed. - Release workflow passed. ## Upgrade guidance Upgrade clients to v1.14.12 and restart MCP clients so the new binary is used. Existing broken legacy mutations still need one-time repair with the troubleshooting helper, but new `mem_session_start` calls should no longer create empty session directories.
