What's New

Newer tag is a different package (@magnitudedev/cli), not an ODS release; no valid v0.1.10→v0.2.2 upgrade path.

Breaking Changes

  • The newer release belongs to @magnitudedev/cli, an unrelated codebase, so it cannot be installed as an upgrade of Osmantic/ODS v0.1.10.
  • Any comparison of APIs, config keys, or data formats between these two tags is meaningless; treat them as separate products.

Improvements

  • Model speed is now estimated from device memory bandwidth instead of running GPU kernels, avoiding a hang-prone probe.
  • Follow-up requests resume from the previous response output rather than restarting the exchange.
  • Repeated images are encoded once per request instead of on every occurrence.
  • Later requests resume from the cached system prompt when only the trailing message changes.

Bug Fixes

  • App no longer gets stuck on 'Assessing models' on certain hardware.
  • Codex no longer hangs after its first tool call over the Responses WebSocket.
  • Tool call IDs no longer repeat across turns, which had caused Claude Code to drop calls and loop.
  • Anthropic token usage no longer double-counts cached tokens or reports zero while streaming.
  • Tools with free-form object parameters no longer fail on Gemma 4 with 'Too many items'.

Upgrade Notes

Do not apply this tag to an ODS deployment: it is a patch release of a different npm package and shares no upgrade path with v0.1.10. Verify the repository and package name in your dependency manifest before bumping, and source the correct ODS release notes for the intended version. If you actually run @magnitudedev/cli, this is a low-risk patch that needs no config changes.
