anomalyco/opentuiSep 14, 2026 → Sep 14, 20260 days between releases
What's New
Introduces dotfile management and concurrent Homebrew optimizations
Breaking Changes
- Enabling encryption on dotfiles blocks sync until `settings.history.allow_plaintext_history` is enabled
- Lockfiles no longer resurrect disabled backends
New Features
- Top-level `mise dot` command for dotfile management
- Global setting `settings.history.allow_plaintext_history`
- New registry tool `poppler`
Improvements
- Significantly faster Homebrew bootstrap installs via concurrent stages
- Improved npm safety checks and lockfile backend discovery
Bug Fixes
- npm reputation gates now show real reasons instead of generic errors
- PyPI tools fall back to version-only installs if dependency graphs fail
- Lockfiles no longer resurrect disabled backends
- Lazy tools no longer trigger `missing:` warnings
Upgrade Notes
Dotfile management is now accessible via the top-level `mise dot` command. If you enable encryption on existing dotfiles, you must run `mise dot sync --allow-plaintext-history` or set `settings.history.allow_plaintext_history = true` to unblock sync. Lockfiles will no longer resurrect disabled backends.
