What's New

v0.22.3 hardens credential storage with strict OS keychain on macOS/Windows and refreshes generated skills.

Breaking Changes

  • macOS and Windows no longer fall back to writing a `.encryption_key` text file when storing credentials, so headless or CI setups on those platforms that relied on the file fallback may fail to authenticate.

New Features

  • Strict native OS keychain integration for credential storage on macOS (Keychain Access) and Windows (Credential Manager).
  • Support for verifying GitHub Artifact Attestations on release artifacts.

Improvements

  • Legacy `.encryption_key` files are automatically deleted after a successful keychain login to reduce credential exposure.
  • Linux retains the file-based fallback by default for compatibility with CI runners, containers, and SSH environments.
  • Generated skills re-synced with the latest Google Discovery API specifications.

Bug Fixes

  • Registered the script service and resolved test path validation errors.
  • Fixed the Lint Skills CI job by installing `uv` via `astral-sh/setup-uv` before invoking `uvx`.

Upgrade Notes

On macOS and Windows, confirm the process can access the native keychain before upgrading, since the `.encryption_key` fallback is gone and existing key files will be deleted on next successful login. Linux behavior is unchanged, so headless CI, Docker, and SSH workflows there need no adjustment. Re-run any credential setup in non-interactive macOS/Windows environments to avoid auth failures.
