Upgrading?

AI Summary

Enhances the font glyph decoder to read ligature names by their components using the Adobe Glyph List specification, ensuring names like 'f_t' or 'uni00660069' are decoded into letters.

Key Highlights

  • Decodes ligature glyph names by components (e.g., f_t, f_f_i)
  • Handles 'uni' sequences and suffixes (e.g., a.sc, f_i.liga)
  • Applies decoding within '/Differences' arrays and embedded font programs

New Features

  • Ligature glyph name decoding

Full Release Notes

Changes since 1.22.0:

- Read ligature glyph names by their components instead of dropping them: names that spell a ligature by components (`f_t`, `f_f_i`, `T_h`), as a `uni` sequence of several code points (`uni00660069`), or with a suffix (`a.sc`, `f_i.liga`) decode to their letters per the Adobe Glyph List specification, in `/Differences` arrays and in embedded font programs' own glyph names; multi-letter results carry their widths through the base-14 fallback. A name that still cannot be read keeps reading as nothing, as in 1.22.0 (#558).

No API changes.

Release preparation: #559.
