**Trazá. Metrá. Presupuestá.** — The first release of the free, Linux-first, 3D modeler for civil engineering and architecture. Draw like on paper → model solids → tag as BIM → read live quantities → export IFC.

## Highlights

### A solid-modeling engine you can trust
- shared-vertex topology: sticky geometry, auto-welding, face detection, deterministic planar rebuilds.
- Push/Pull with recess / steps / through-holes / clamps / inference — and a **BIM-grade watertightness guard**: the engine never commits a broken solid.
- Robust curves: whole-contour selection, intersections that split properly (circle×line, circle×circle, rect×rect), identity that survives copy/paste/offset/groups.
- Transactional history: internal failures roll back exactly and are logged.
- Fuzz-tested with 1,000 seeded operation sequences (996 clean; 4 known-hard frozen).

### The full toolkit
Line, rectangles, circle, polygon, 4 arc types, Offset, **Follow Me** (mitred sweeps, closed-path lathes) · Move, **Rotate**, **Scale** · click/double/triple-click selection, window/crossing box · Tape Measure + guides, **Protractor**, Dimensions · Eraser, Paint, escalating Esc.

### Materials, layers, groups
- Categorised, licence-clean texture library (22 seamless textures, 9 civil categories) painted at **real-world tile size**; edit W/H/rotation undoably.
- Layers with visibility/locking — top view + parallel projection + layers **is** the plan drawing.
- Groups with edit-inside context and correct cross-context undo; face-me billboards (the scale figure is the author himself, at his real 1.65 m — and you can insert your own transparent PNG at real height).

### BIM — the thesis
- Tag faces or groups as IFC objects (15 curated classes): **metadata over freeform geometry, never rigid primitives**.
- Live quantities: area always, volume only when watertight (honesty by construction).
- Takeoff **CSV export** and hand-written **IFC4 export** (spatial structure, real classes, faceted BRep, BaseQuantities) — zero heavy dependencies.

### Georeferencing
Local datum + UTM · satellite base maps (Esri, Sentinel-2, custom XYZ) with area-limited capture · 3D draped terrain from free global DEM · geo paths with longitudinal profiles (stations, slopes, CSV/PNG) · KML/GeoJSON import.

### Interchange
Import **COLLADA .dae** (with components and unit/axis conversion) and OBJ · export **IFC4**, **STL** and OBJ with materials.

### Experience
Bilingual UI (Spanish/English) · movable icon toolbars · Properties/BIM/Georef panel tabs · paper-white maquette shading with face culling · sky/ground horizon · starter components (person, tree, bush, car) · desktop launcher installer.

## Install (from source)

```bash
git clone https://github.com/tuxiasumari/ingetrazo.git
cd ingetrazo
python -m venv venv && source venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt
python main.py                      # run it
bash scripts/install_desktop.sh     # optional: launcher + icon
```

Requires Python 3.12+ and OpenGL 3.3. Developed and tested on Linux (Wayland and X11).
