Release notes summary
This release focuses on improving PR lookup accuracy for forks and ensuring deterministic JSON output for state and step commands.
Key Highlights
- `wt switch pr:N` now respects `gh repo set-default` when origin points to a fork.
- JSON output for `config show --format=json` and `step for-each --format=json` is now deterministic.
- Continued consolidation of the `TestRepo` structure across the codebase.
New Features
- Improved PR lookup errors with repository context

## Release Notes ### Fixed - **PR lookup on forks respects `gh repo set-default`**: `wt switch pr:N` now checks the gh-configured default repo when origin points to a fork, instead of always querying the fork's repo (which returns 404). The error message is also context-aware based on the configured default. Fixes [#2002](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/issues/2002). ([#2004](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/pull/2004), thanks @JustinPierce for reporting) - **JSON output stability**: `config show --format=json` log file sort is now deterministic (filename tiebreaker for identical timestamps). `step for-each --format=json` includes a consistent `error` field on all failure variants. ([#2001](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/pull/2001)) ### Internal - Continued `TestRepo` consolidation: `bare()` constructor, `at(path)` constructor, removed lifetime guard field. ([#2000](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/pull/2000), [#2005](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/pull/2005), [#2007](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/pull/2007)) ## Install worktrunk 0.35.1 ### Install prebuilt binaries via shell script ```sh curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -LsSf https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-installer.sh | sh && wt config shell install ``` ### Install prebuilt binaries via powershell script ```sh powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -c "irm https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-installer.ps1 | iex"; git-wt config shell install ``` ### Install prebuilt binaries via Homebrew ```sh brew install worktrunk && wt config shell install ``` ## Download worktrunk 0.35.1 | File | Platform | Checksum | |--------|----------|----------| | [worktrunk-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.xz](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.xz) | Apple Silicon macOS | [checksum](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.xz.sha256) | | [worktrunk-x86_64-apple-darwin.tar.xz](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-apple-darwin.tar.xz) | Intel macOS | [checksum](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-apple-darwin.tar.xz.sha256) | | [worktrunk-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip) | x64 Windows | [checksum](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip.sha256) | | [worktrunk-aarch64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-aarch64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz) | ARM64 MUSL Linux | [checksum](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-aarch64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz.sha256) | | [worktrunk-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz) | x64 MUSL Linux | [checksum](https://github.com/max-sixty/worktrunk/releases/download/v0.35.1/worktrunk-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl.tar.xz.sha256) | ### Install via Cargo ```sh cargo install worktrunk && wt config shell install ``` ### Install via Winget (Windows) ```sh winget install max-sixty.worktrunk && git-wt config shell install ``` ### Install via AUR (Arch Linux) ```sh paru worktrunk-bin && wt config shell install ```
