Breaking Changes
- The `but diff --tui` invocation is renamed to `but tui --diff`, so existing scripts and aliases using the old form will fail.
- `but diff --no-tui` and `but config ui` have been removed entirely, with no stated replacement.
New Features
- A new TUI branch mode (opened with `b`) adds search and discard capabilities.
- Workspace updates now fast-forward a local target branch such as `main` once its remote counterpart advances.
Improvements
- Slow fetch, push, and clone operations are no longer aborted after a two-minute timeout.
- Pull request and merge request details remain visible when credentials are missing or a refresh fails on a network error.
- Workspace syncs now tolerate remotes the workspace does not use failing to fetch.
Bug Fixes
- GitHub repositories with 100 or more open pull requests now refresh correctly as activity changes.
- GitLab merge requests with no head commit no longer break merge request loading.
- Edit mode no longer crashes on non-UTF-8 conflicts or falsely marks them resolved.
- Uncommitted changes load correctly when staged and unstaged changes overlap.
- Unapplying a stack no longer fails when branch names also exist in another stack.
Upgrade Notes
Update any automation or aliases that call `but diff --tui` to the new `but tui --diff` form and drop usage of `--no-tui` and `but config ui`. Note that the newer release is versioned 0.22.2 while the older is 4.0.1, and its notes describe a different feature set (workspace/PR syncing, TUI) than the v4.0.x auto-update fix, so confirm you are upgrading the intended artifact before rolling out.
