clients/go/v0.5.2 v0.5.2
microsoft/agent-host-protocolJul 9, 2026 → Jul 9, 20260 days between releases
What's New
Both releases implement AHP 0.5.2; the newer one is the Swift binding adding MCP server session actions and input-request response persistence.
New Features
- Session actions for controlling MCP server lifecycle, including a `session/mcpServerStartRequested` action, are exposed in the newer Swift binding.
- An `InputRequestResponsePart` type persists resolved chat input results, complementing the Go client's input-request response part kind.
- Typed `resource*` convenience wrappers (read, write, list, copy, delete, move, resolve, mkdir, request, watch) are available on the client in both bindings.
- Optional `enabled`, `reviewed`, and `meta` fields are added across customization and changeset types, plus a `changeset/filesReviewedChanged` action.
Improvements
- Inbound server-initiated requests are now answered through an installed handler instead of being silently dropped, falling back to MethodNotFound when unset.
- Provider `_meta` metadata was lifted from `AgentCustomization` to the shared customization base so plugin and client-plugin customizations inherit it.
- API surface is aligned across language bindings, with the Swift package using camelCase method names and typealiases versus the Go client's exported PascalCase names.
Bug Fixes
- Previously dropped inbound server requests are now dispatched to the registered handler rather than being ignored.
Upgrade Notes
These are parallel language bindings of the same protocol version (Go client vs. Swift package), so there is no cross-package migration path; upgrade within your language's package. Go consumers keep PascalCase methods like `SetServerRequestHandler`, while Swift consumers use camelCase equivalents such as `setServerRequestHandler(_:)`. If you rely on server-initiated requests, install a handler explicitly, since unhandled requests now return MethodNotFound instead of being dropped.
