v26.8.15 v0.9.0
nari-labs/dia2Aug 15, 2026 → Aug 17, 20262 days between releases
What's New
Workflows now require explicit YAML definitions for skills and MCP servers, removing ambient inheritance.
Breaking Changes
- Claude workflow nodes no longer inherit ambient skills and MCP servers; they must be declared in YAML.
- Included command bodies must resolve and may only reference their own workflow.
New Features
- Workflows can now declare inputs, returns, and be packaged as self-contained folders.
- Introduced `archon workflow run --dry-run` to simulate workflows without contacting providers.
- Node capabilities are strictly defined in YAML rather than ambient configuration.
Improvements
- Declared skills are now checked before spend to fail up front if unreachable.
- Built-in and plugin-qualified skill names warn and are left for SDK resolution.
Upgrade Notes
Claude workflow nodes must now explicitly declare skills and MCP servers in YAML. Included command bodies must resolve locally and reference the correct workflow scope. Review node capabilities to ensure they are defined in YAML rather than relying on ambient configuration.
