v2.14.0 v2.13

high risk

What's New

Newer tag v2.13 predates v2.14.0 and describes a different product, so the delta is unreliable; it mainly adds UI/UX features and removes runtime=input.

Breaking Changes

  • Removal of the `runtime=input` option, which will break configurations or callers that still rely on it.
  • Version ordering is inverted (v2.13 published before v2.14.0), so treating v2.13 as an upgrade over v2.14.0 may silently downgrade features such as bulk vulnerability actions and the container processes tab.

New Features

  • Redesigned file browser with configurable breadcrumb/text path bar, folder autocomplete, and inline rename.
  • Collapsible, drag-and-drop project folders for organizing chats and tasks in the sidebar.
  • Slash commands for the Telegram and WhatsApp messaging integrations.
  • Native commentary streaming for public tool calls.
  • New `evaluate_timeout_seconds` setting for the Browser tool.

Improvements

  • Settings save path reworked for roughly 6.5x faster saves, with pooled HTTP connections.
  • Large-file open time cut from about 22.5s to 0.37s by skipping hidden Markdown previews.
  • Editor patches now preserve file permissions and host-user ownership instead of writing root-owned 0600 files.
  • Consolidated create-new dropdown and shared footer input row simplify file and folder creation.

Bug Fixes

  • Opening a file picker no longer blanks an active canvas listing.
  • Live browsers now navigate in place for path links rather than stacking new windows.
  • Legacy text-editor label removed so line edits are explicitly supported.

Upgrade Notes

Before upgrading, confirm which artifact you actually run: the newer notes describe Agent Zero (file browser, project folders, messaging slash commands), not the Pathway security/container feature set in v2.14.0, and the version numbers are inverted relative to their publish dates. If you do move to v2.13, audit any use of `runtime=input` and replace it before rollout. Treat this as a downgrade path rather than a forward upgrade until the release lineage is clarified.
