### Patch Changes

- 430178c: fix(inspector): default connections to Auto mode with proxy fallback

The Inspector connection form no longer asks users to choose between Direct and
Via Proxy before connecting. New connections use Auto mode by default: the
Inspector tries a direct browser connection first, then falls back to the
configured Inspector proxy when direct connection fails because of CORS or other
  proxy-resolvable connection errors.

Direct and Proxy are still available as advanced connection mode overrides in
the Configuration dialog, alongside the editable Proxy Endpoint. The Inspector
also preserves legacy `connectionType` configs while writing the new
  `connectionMode` field.

`useMcp` now applies the runtime proxy config after automatic fallback when it
derives gateway URLs and headers, so fallback retries route through the proxy
instead of continuing to use the original direct transport config.

- 430178c: Updated dependency `vite` to `^8.0.16`.
- 430178c: fix(inspector): stop prompting signed-in users to log in on the hosted free tier

The hosted inspector (`inspector.manufact.com`) showed the "You're using
Manufact's free tier — Sign in to increase your limits" CTA to every visitor
using the managed LLM, even when they were already authenticated (MCP-2142).

`ChatTab` now resolves the shared Manufact session (via the new
`useHostedSession` hook, also used by `HostedUserMenu`) and only renders the
free-tier sign-in/upgrade chrome for anonymous visitors. The visibility rule is
extracted into a pure `shouldShowFreeTierUpgrade` helper and unit-tested.

- 430178c: Read the inspector version from package.json so canary builds and CLI version output stay in sync.
- 430178c: Replace stale saved auto-connect entries when the advertised transport changes, so embedded Inspector instances do not keep retrying deprecated SSE connections after switching to streamable HTTP.
