- **`npx impeccable` runs the binary.** The package resolves a platform package (`@impeccable/cli-<os>-<arch>`) installed as an optional dependency, then the user cache, then a checksum-verified download of the pinned engine release. A download without a verifiable checksum is refused rather than run.

- **The JavaScript detector API is gone.** The package no longer exports a `detect` function; the same rules are available as a WebAssembly module for hosts that cannot run the binary. Every documented command (`detect`, `ignores`, `install`, `update`, `check`, `link`) keeps its name, flags, and output.
