What's New
Adds ultrasonic as a second field-surface modality with a replay adapter and upstream struct field additions.
Breaking Changes
- The vendored rufield bump adds required fields to Observation and SensorDescriptor struct literals, so downstream code constructing these types must be updated.
- Ultrasonic data is only exposed in a 32-bin coarse reduction; the full per-bin frame is P0 and dropped by the egress gate, so consumers cannot obtain uncoarsened profiles.
New Features
- Ultrasonic modality is now available as the field surface's second modality, using registry code 7.
- rufield-adapters ships UltrasonicReplayAdapter, which parses, validates, and signs BatVu range profiles upstream.
- Observation gains track_id, attributes, identity_evidence, and channel_sounding_provenance fields.
- SensorDescriptor gains coordinate_frame, position_m, and orientation_xyzw fields.
Improvements
- Vendored rufield advanced from 43b1df3 to 9955672, pulling in the upstream adapter and struct changes.
- The ultrasonic module configures coarse mode by design so output stays egress-safe rather than relying on a runtime refusal.
- All nine existing P1 gates still pass unchanged after the vendor bump.
Upgrade Notes
Expect to update any code that builds Observation or SensorDescriptor literals, since the upstream bump adds fields; the bridge leaves them empty deliberately, notably pose fields, because CSI links make no room-coordinate claim. If you consume ultrasonic output, plan around the coarse 32-bin profile only. Verify your egress gate configuration still asserts zero drops after the change.
