Full Release Notes

## CloakBrowser Pro is now on Chromium 151

Chromium `151.0.7922.108.2` is now Stable for **Linux x64, Linux ARM64, and Windows x64** — a full major-version upgrade from the Chromium 150 line. macOS remains on Stable `150.0.7871.114.3`.

Keeping the engine on the current Chrome major increasingly matters: anti-bot systems flag browsers that lag behind the latest release, so a current base keeps your user-agent, feature set, and rendering behavior aligned with what real users report.

With a valid CloakBrowser key, the wrapper automatically selects the Stable build for your platform. No version pin is required.

### What's new

- **Chromium 151 base** — the entire fingerprint patch set has been ported onto the new engine and re-validated against reference data. Current major, current behavior.
- **Sharper Windows identity** — corrected speech-synthesis voice sets, connected-media reporting, and screen and display characteristics, all matched against real-world reference data.
- **Intel graphics identities now cross-platform** — coherent Intel GPU personas that were previously Windows-only now render correctly on Linux as well, with graphics capabilities kept aligned as one plausible machine.
- **More coherent network identity** — network behavior tracks a real browser more closely across direct, proxied, and located sessions, and starts up with a quieter background-request profile.
- **More reliable session handling** — cleaner release of concurrent sessions and steadier local license handling.

### Fingerprint seed continuity

A fixed `--fingerprint` seed may resolve to a different complete hardware identity on Chromium 151 than it did on the previous Stable build.

If an existing seed is tied to a persistent profile and sticky IP, keep that identity on its previous build or rotate the **seed, profile, and IP together**.

### Current wrapper: v0.5.8

Update the wrapper before launching:

```bash
pip install -U cloakbrowser
npm update cloakbrowser
dotnet add package CloakBrowser --version 0.5.8
```

Recent wrapper fixes include safer humanized behavior after in-page navigation, correct `selectOption` handling, and scroll refinements.

### Try the current build free

A free GitHub key downloads the same current Stable binary as paid plans. Concurrency is the only difference:

```bash
cloakbrowser login
```

No-key installs continue using the older GitHub-hosted binary.

### Roll back if needed

If a workload regresses, pin the previous Stable build:

```bash
# Linux / Windows
export CLOAKBROWSER_VERSION=150.0.7871.114.6
# macOS
export CLOAKBROWSER_VERSION=150.0.7871.114.3
```

Remove the pin to return to the newest Stable build.

**If you hit a regression, please tell us** — [open an issue](https://github.com/CloakHQ/CloakBrowser/issues) or email support@cloakbrowser.dev with the site and what you saw. Pinning the old build gets you unblocked; a report gets it fixed for everyone.

The signed manifest (`SHA256SUMS` and `SHA256SUMS.sig`) is attached. The wrapper verifies its Ed25519 signature and each archive's SHA-256 checksum automatically.
