What's New
These tags belong to different packages (plate vs output-worker); the newer one adds trace/span IDs to delivery logs.
New Features
- Delivery logs now carry trace_id/span_id so Loki logs can be correlated with Tempo traces.
- A service.instance.id OpenTelemetry resource attribute is emitted for per-instance identification.
- Target resolution now uses a shared caching async DNS resolver.
- Free concurrency slots are sampled and reported through logs and OTel metrics.
- Loading of request attempts from the database was reworked for better throughput.
Improvements
- Internal data handling switched from a tuple to a struct for clarity and maintainability.
- Pulsar send helpers were extracted and bounded to limit resource use.
- OTel meters are no longer rebuilt on every call.
- Pulsar consumer statistics are disabled by default pending further work.
- Dependencies were refreshed repeatedly across the release series.
Bug Fixes
- Target IP security handling was corrected.
- Behavior during object storage failures was improved.
- Several trace-level log messages were promoted to warn for better visibility.
Upgrade Notes
The older notes describe @platejs packages while the newer notes describe a Go-based output-worker, so treat this as a cross-component comparison rather than a version bump of the same artifact. If you are actually upgrading output-worker, verify your OTel/Loki pipeline picks up the new trace_id/span_id fields and the service.instance.id attribute, and note that Pulsar consumer stats are now off by default. No migration steps are described for the plate packages in the newer notes.
