v3.2.0 v0.5.9
Gentleman-Programming/engramOct 19, 2026 → Oct 19, 20261 day between releases
What's New
v0.5.9 is a different product line (IngeTrazo 3D modeling) than v3.2.0 (Archify explainers), so the two are not a forward upgrade path.
Breaking Changes
- The newer release describes IngeTrazo, a 3D modeling application, while the older one describes Archify, a Markdown-to-explainer page generator, so no shared features or APIs carry over.
- The version number regresses from 3.2.0 to 0.5.9, indicating a separate release line rather than an incremental upgrade.
- Archify-specific capabilities from v3.2.0 such as `finalize explainer`/`patch explainer` commands, panel patching, and the four page styles have no equivalent in v0.5.9.
New Features
- An experimental Rust engine, off by default, that accelerates the heaviest modeling operations.
- Lightweight mesh loading that keeps huge models compact until a group is edited or clicked.
- First-point axis snapping for Line, Rectangle, Circle, and Arc tools.
- Camera-aligned drawing planes for Rectangle, Circle, and Arc when drawing in empty space.
- Shift-based orbit/pan switching while holding the middle mouse button, plus a customizable accent color for icons and toolbars.
Improvements
- Large-model operations are much faster with the Rust engine, e.g. hidden-line vector views dropping from 150 s to 5 s and Intersect Faces from 266 s to 9 s.
- A 14-million-face model opens in 16 s instead of 110 s with memory falling from 7.5 GB to 4.8 GB, while saving produces a byte-identical file.
- The accent color can be picked from presets or the system accent and applies immediately.
- If the Rust module fails to load or the app fails to start with it enabled, the next launch falls back to the standard engine automatically.
Bug Fixes
- The Windows Extension Manager no longer crashes on machines where another program's OpenSSL is present.
- Roughly fifty additional fixes are bundled in this release, though the excerpt does not enumerate them.
Upgrade Notes
Treat this as a product switch rather than a version bump: verify which application your pinned dependency actually refers to before changing anything, since the feature sets are unrelated. If you do move to v0.5.9, the Rust engine is opt-in via Preferences and only takes effect after a restart, and it silently reverts to the standard engine on load failure. Archify explainer workflows and their commands would need to be retained on the 3.x line.
The Two Releases
v3.2.0
Oct 19, 2026· 5 days ago
Archify v3.2.0 adds conclusion-first one-page answers, called explainers, generated from Markdown with cited sources, interactive diagrams, and browser exports. It includes authoring and delivery commands, multiple visual styles, and fixes for local-path leakage, export theming, blank chart data, workflow migration contracts, and timeline timezone ticks. The release also updates reader controls, update notices, and website portability.

Oct 19, 2026· 4 days ago
IngeTrazo v0.5.9 introduces an experimental Rust engine that dramatically speeds up heavy modeling operations and improves huge-model handling. It also adds axis snapping for first drawing points, camera-aligned drawing planes, wheel-held orbit/pan switching, customizable accent colors, and about fifty fixes. The Rust engine is off by default and remains experimental.
